Pinot Blanc Wine Pairing

In Alsace, Italy and Hungary, the Pinot Blanc is a full-bodied dry white wine while in Germany and Austria they can be either dry or sweet. Pinot Blanc delivers fruity aromas, often of apple, citrus fruit, and floral characteristics, which are musky and creamy-textured. Those from Italy have zippier acidity, with pear or even soft citrus flavors. American Pinot Blancs are usually made in the French style.

Pour Pinot Blancs with cheese-based dishes and go nicely with light foods like chicken breasts or flaky white fish in a simple sauce. A full-bodied dry Pinot Blanc is a great accompaniment to cold meats, crudités, and picnic fare.
